We are looking for driven Engineering Technicians to join our team in Mayport, FL. As a technician, you will be providing Combat System Technical Support to the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) in support of the overall Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) mission objectives of Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA), Total Ship Readiness Assessments (TSRA), Integrated Class Maintenance Plans (ICMP), Mandatory Technical Requirement (MTR) Assessments, and Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV). Ship systems supported on this project include all systems and equipment, major and minor, comprising the combat systems, including power supplies, ancillary, peripheral, sensors, support equipment, trainers, training and tactical software, and handling systems.
These positions are contingent on funding and are expected to start toward the end of 2025.
Clearance Requirement:
Must be a US citizen with a current active DoD Secret security clearance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide the system and equipment expertise to aid in troubleshooting, assessment analysis, inspection, root cause localization and identification, test, certification, maintenance training, logistics configuration support, alteration development, and long-term problem resolution related to Combat Systems equipment.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Must possess recent experience (a minimum of three of the last seven years) in one of the following areas:
Navigation (NAVSSI and RTS)/Internal Communications/Cathodics/Alarms/Sensors
Satellite Communication (e.g., WSC-6 and WSC-9).
Tactical Communication (e.g., NMT and JTIDS).
External Communication (e.g., URT-23, URC-109 HYDRA).
Air/Surface Search Radar & Electronic Navigation Systems
Sonar systems
Torpedo and Ordnance Handling Equipment
Command, Control and Intelligence Systems, with a current IAT Level I IA baseline certification and current CE/OS certificate (Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator)
COMBAT System 21/Ship Self-Defense Systems
AEGIS Fire Control (e.g., Mk 99 Fire Control Systems).
Electronic Warfare/Ships Signal Exploitation System
Rolling Airframe Missiles/Sea Rolling Airframe Missiles (RAM/Sea RAM)

Working level of knowledge in Material Maintenance Management (3M) and the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
Experience in mechanical and electrical aspects of the given system from the above list.
Must have full-time, hands-on experience in accomplishing Fleet Technical Assistance, Assessment, and Logistical Support of U.S. Navy systems in your specialty.
Must have full-time, hands-on experience in interpreting shipboard technical documents to assess, repair, and document equipment deficiencies and configure equipment in alternate structures to meet mission requirements for your systems.
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience as an inspector at the Afloat Training Group or TYCOM staff focusing on Pre-INSURV preparations.
Experience as a system assessor for any Regional Maintenance Center, TYCOM, or staff.
Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole.
Professional oral and written communication skills.
Must be highly reliable and capable of meeting a work schedule consistently.
Physical Demands and Expectations:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time.
Able to meet U.S. Navy shiprider requirements.
Must be physically able to climb up and down a pilot's ladder and stay onboard a U.S. Naval Vessel for several consecutive days underway.
Ability to work in an industrial shipboard/shipyard environment, climb shipboard ladders, and wear all required safety equipment.
Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.
Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax, and other office equipment.
